Whether you love low fares airlines or loath flying cattle class, if you’ve ever been blackmailed into paying excess baggage fees at the gate, missed a flight because there weren’t any staff to check you in, or spent a romantic city break stranded at an airfield in the middle of nowhere, then this is comedy for you.
CHARACTER PROFILES
DEE DEE
Dee Dee would be the equivalent of the straight ‘man’. She is sensible, optimistic and the glue that keeps the whole show together. Dee Dee is more acceptant of their fate of waiting interminably, while the waiting seems to frustrate Gogo.
BOZO
Tyrannical airline patriarch resembling a circus ringmaster with Quincy under his control as his prize-performing animal. He is completely obsessed with air travel and the potential of reducing costs and services at the expense of his customers in cunning, devious and increasingly unhinged ways to improve profitability.
GOGO
Gogo is funny and ditsy and needs Dees Dee to look after her, explain things and regularly remind her that they must wait for Faro.
QUINCY
The everyman of low-fare air travel, he is not really an invertebrate at all and in some ways, his enslavement is his meaning. While outwardly, he subserviently goes along with Bozo’s madness and the dreadful treatment of passengers, he is clearly taking it all in.
STEWARD I & STEWARD II
Steward I and Steward II are cabin crew who work for Bozo's no-frills airline and bring news about the delayed flight in each act.
